The regular meeting of the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the
President C. M. Willman at 8 P. M.
Roll call- Present- Trustee Cazel, Crush, Palmer, Pottenger
and Schneider. Absent- None.
The minutes showing no regular meeting held February 11,
1941 on account of nd quorem present and the special meeting held
February 21, 1941 were read and approved.
A motion was made by Trustee Schneider and seconded by
Trustee-Crush that the following bills be approved for payment
on receipt of proper funds.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Cazel, Crush,
Palmer, Pottenger and Schneider. Nays- None. 'lotion carried.

U11 • A motion was made by Trustee Schneider and seconded by
Trustee Crush that as the special assessments on Warrant No. 60
• have been paid, the Treasurer be. instructed to make a propor-
tionate refund to the owners presenting the proper receipts of
ownership, subject to a reserve of approximately 1010 of the
amount in the fund at present and also subject to any funds
owing the village, if any.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Cazel., Crush,
Palmer, Pottenger.and Schneider. Nays - None. Motion carried.
It was moved by.Trustee Palmer that the Village Attorney be
instructed to collect from Justice of..the Peace Peter J. Duffy,
funds collected from "fines and which he is holding intrust at the
present time. 'Motion t for the want of a second.
A motion was made-by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee
Crush that the contract for the proposed i'rripiovement of a storm
sewer approximately 385 feet long including three drainage
structures, revised 2 /28/41 to approximately 435 feet of storm
sewer and 5 drainage structures.be awarded to L. G. Quigley,
120 Callan St., Evanston,'Illinois, for the sum of $887.50.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being
Trustee Cazel, Crush-,. Palmer, Pottenger aril Schneider. Those
y voting "Nay" being Vone.
`4 A resolution for additional funds in the amount of "320 .72
to complete payment..of bills incurred for - shaping, adding gravel,
where required, impr.ave drainage and applying oil with sand
covering as per resolution passed by the President and Board of
..Trustees May 14, 1940 covering period .from,.April 15�, 1940 to
December 31, 1940 was' -read and it. was moved by Trustee Cazel and
seconded by Trustee.Crush= -that this resolution be adopted.
