08/13/1940M A resolution for the construction of storm drains with manholes, catchbasins, inlets and necessary appurtenances in Elm Street from approximately 500 feet south of Central Avenue to a point 1000 feet south of Central Avenue under the Motor Fuel Tax Law and that there be appropriated $750.00 for this improvement was lead and it was moved by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Crush that the resolution be adopted. Roll call. Yeas- Trustee Cazel, Cole, Crush and Schneider. Nays- None. Motion carried. No further business appearing, it was moved, seconded and carried to adjourn. Willman at 8 :15 P. M. Roll call- Present- Trustee Cazel, Cole, Crush and Schneider. Absent - Trustee Palmer and Pottenger. The minutes of our special meeting held July 9, 1940 and of the regular meeting held July 15, 1940 were read and approved. Turner, Treasurer of the Village of Deerfield was read and a motion made by Trustee Cole-and seconded by Trustee Crush T--,, that this resolution be adopted as read. GI A motion was made b.V Trustee Cole and - seconded by Trustee Crush that water users whose meters cannot be read on the first call of the meter readeR shall be sent an average bill, however such average bill shall not be rendered for more than two co:}- secutive months. Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Cazel, Cole, Crush and Schneider.` Nays- None. Motion carried. Moved by•Trustee Cole and seconded by Trustee' ' Crush that 'Truste'e Schneider, -chairman of the License Committee be author- ized to purchase auto license tags for 1941, the same to be delivered December 1st, 1940 with a January 1, 1941 billing. Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Cazel, Cole, Crush and Schneider. --Those voting "Nay" treing None. . A resolutiowrequesting a permit from the State Highway Department for the'installation of a water connection on Deerfield-Road, east of Oxford Road was'presented• and a 'motion made by•Trustee Crush and seconded by Trustee Schneider to adopt the resolution as read. Roll call resulted -as follows. Yeas- Trustee Cazel, Cole, Crush and Schneider. Nays- None. Motion carried. A motion was-made by Trustee Cole and seconded by Trustee Crush to continue the Deerfield State-Bank as the depository for the funds of-Florence E. -Page Stryker, Village Collector. Roll call - .Yeas- Trustee- Cazel, Cole, Crush and Schneider. Nays- None. Motion carried. A motion was.made by- Trustee - Schneider and duly seconded ..by Trustee Crush to accept the following- described property as donated to the Village of Deerfield -by Carl E. Olson and Hilda Olson for street purposes, to-wit:­., Beginning at a point on the East Line of- the west _fifteen acres of the N.19. , of the S. -E. of.Section 295 Township 43N9 Range 12,. A motion was made by Trustee Cole and seconded by Trustee Crush that the Building Commissioner be authorized to issue permits for. buildings with attached garages of other than in- combustible material,.provided the wall between garage and-. building proper shall be of incombustible material and provided alsosthat there shall be no room or rooms above the garage.
