May 28,- 1940. •
A special meeting of the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by
the President 0. M. Willman at 8 P. M. for the purpose of
taking up the matter of issuing certain building permits.
Roll call. Present- Trustee Cole, Crush, Palmer,
Pottenger and Schneider..
Absent A Trustee Cazel. ,
Karl E. Peterson requested permission to erect a
residence at 645 Brierhill Road with a side yard having a.
width of about 70 of, the width of the lot and a motion was
made by Trustee Palmer and seconded by Trustee Pottenger
that a permit be granted to,Karl E. Peterson.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Cole,
Palmer, Pottenger and Schneider. Nays- Trustee Crush. Motion
carried.
Andresen Corporation having expressed a desire of
locating an asphalt plant along the east side of the 0. M. St.
P,. and P, R.,R..right of way, and south of the Mercer Lumber Co.
property, a committee consisting of Trustees Pottengery Palmer
an4=3a3e was appointed by the President of the Board to..
investigate the desirability of having such a plant locate in
Deerfield.
A motion was made by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by
Trustee Crush that a permit be granted to Peter Juhrend to
erect an addition to the north of his present building provided
same has fire stop and the ,outer wall be of wire lath and
.stucco or other fire proof material.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting,nAyen.being
Trustee Cole, Crush, Palmer, Pottenger and Schneider, Those
voting "Nay" being None.
Motion made, seconded and carriedi:to adjourn.

The regular meeting of the President and the Board of
'Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was'ca�jed to order by
the President 0. M. Willman at 8 :15 P. M. with the following
trustees responding to the roll call:- eazel, Cole, Crush,
and Pottenger. Abs'ent- Trustee Palmer and Schneider.
The minutes of the meeting held May 140 1940.and the
special meeting of May 28, 1940 were read and approved.
• The following bills were read
by Trustee Cole who made
a motion which was duly seconded by
Trustee Crush that these
bills be approved for payment on receipt of proper funds.
