02/06/1939 + 03/07/19392; February 6, 1939. A special meeting of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President C. M. Willman at 7:45 P. M. for the purpose of making changes in the present street lighting system.. The following trustees responded to the roll call. Trustee Peterson, Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple. Absent - Trustee Hertel and Palmer. A motion was made by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee Stupple that the street lights in the Village of Deer- field be turned off at 2 A. M. and that the 17 - 600 C. P. Ornamental Lights in the business district be changed to 400 C. P. • and the "following 250 C. P. lights be "changed to 100 C. P. - viz. #6427, 6428, 67849 6785, 6786 and 6787 acid the above changes to take effect immediately. Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Peterson, Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple. Those voting "Nay" -being None. Moved by Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee Stupple to adjourn. Motion carried. A special meeting of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President C. M. Willman for the purpose of passing a resolution to hold a regular general election ir#he Village of Deerfield on April 18, 1939, and for the puilJose of adopting or rejecting an ordinance providing for the sub - mitting to the voters of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, at the next regular election thereof a proposition to levy eighty -seven and one -half (.87 -1/2) hundredths of one per- centum for general corporate purposes, exclusive of the amount :_.. levied for payment -of bonded indebtedness or interest thereon and exclusive of taxes "authorized by acts which by their terms provide that such taxes shall be in addition to taxes for general corporate purposes, for a period of four years and also for the purpose of approving bills.
