10/11/1938I 1.9 October 11, 1938. The regular meeting of the President and the Board of Trustees of the.Village of Deerfield was called t6 order by the President 0. M. Willman at 8.'P. M. Roll call- Present- Trustee Hertel, Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple. Absent- Trustee Palmer and Peterson. , The minutes of the regular meeting held September 13, 1938 and the special meeting held October X13 1938 were read and approved. A motion was made by Trustee Schneider and seconded by Trustee Hertel authorizing the Chairman Marshall Pottenger of the License Committee to purchase City Vehicle License'tags for 1939, the-cost not to exceed $45.00. Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas-'Trustee Hertel, Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple. Nays- None. Motion carried. An ordinance providing for the combining of the existing water- works system and the sewerage system for the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, to be operated as a single unit" was read by the clerk. A motion was'made by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee Schneider that "The Ordinance Providing For The Combining Of The Existing Waterworks System and The Sewerage System For The Village Of 'Deerfield; Lake County, Illinois, To Be Operated As A Single Utility" be passed as read. Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Hertel, Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple. Those voting "Nay" being None. - ' An ordinance authorizing the combining of the existing water - works and sewerage systemc-and the construction of improvements and extensions to the combined municipally owned..waterworks.and sewer- , age system of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County Illinois, providing for,the issue of $29,000.00 "Water Works 6ewerage Revenue Bonds" of said Village for the purpose of defraying the cost of constructing said improvements and extensions, prescribing all the details of said bonds and providing for the collection, segregation and distributing of the revenue of the combined water- works and sewerage system of said Village for the purpose of paying the cost of operation and maintenance thereof, providing an •• adequate depreciation fund therefor and paying the principal of and interest on said waterworks sewerage bonds,.-was read. Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee Hertel, Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple. Nays - None. Motion carried. Fire Chief Uchtmen requested. the Village Board to purchase a tank for-the fire truck, rubber coats and boots for the use of the Village Fire Department. It was moved by Trustee Hertel and duly seconded by Trustee Stupple that we authorize the Fire Department to purchase equip- ment ns requested at a cost not to exceed $90.00. _ zo Motion unanimously carried. .Thos6 voting +Aye" being Trustee Hertel, Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple. It was moved by Trustee Schneider and seconded by Trustee Stupple that the plat of the proposed subdivision in the North of the' N*' of Sec. 32, T 43N, R 12, E. of the 3rd P.M. as-sub- mitted by James J. Hood be referred to the Zoning and Planning Commission, Corporation Counsel McGaughey, Engineer James Anderson and. members of. the "Union Drainage`Ditch district. Upon roll call the following Vote-was taken. Yeas- Trustee Hertel, Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple. Nays -None. Motion carried. An ordinance - prohibiting hunting, firing of guns or carrying, loaded guns within the Village of Deerfield was read and it-was'_moved by Trustee Stupple and seconded by Trustee Hertel that this -ordi- nance be passed as read.
