02/08/19381- February 8, 1938. . -The- regular meeting of the President and the Board of Trustees of the-Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President O.,M: Willman at 8 P.-,U. with the following trustees'responding to the roll- aa11:- Hertel, Palmer; Peterson, Pottenget and- Stupple. Absent- Trustee Schneider. The minutes of our regular meeting held January•11; 1938 . were, read. These minutes were approved. with the following addition;+1A resolution to report fines•was read and it was moved by Trustee Palmer to adopt the resolution as read. There being no 11second ",the motion was. declared'llost ". A resolution that the Department of Law Enforcement file all Complaints for Viola - tion of Village Ordinances.befoie the regular constituted Police Magistrate was read and it was moved by Trustee Palmer that the .resolution be adopted as read. There being no second to the motion the same was declared 'llost+l. A report of the names of all persons and the amount of all money received on account of cases tried in Magistrates Court up to the first day of January, 1938 was submitted by Police Magistrate W-, A. Bickford. The amount collected was $477.50. A motion was made by Trustee Stupple and seconded by Trustee Palmer to receive and place-on file-the report as sub - mitted by Police Magistrate Wr- A. Bickford. Roll call resulted as follows- Yeas- Trustee Hertel, Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Stupple. Nays- None. Motion oarried. A notice from the Iili4ois Commerce Commission relative to a hearing to be held February 16, 1938 on the application of Country Towns Bus Lines, Inc. for a. certificate of convenience. and necessity to operate as a motor carrier for the transportation of persons between Niles, Morton Grove, Golf, Glenview, Techny, Northbrook and Deerfield, Illinois was read. The President . Willman appointed Trustee Pottenger and Trustee Hertel to represent the Village of Deerfield at this hearing_. A.- request from the Chicago Federation of Aged and -Adult Charities for permission to tag in the Village of Deerfield on Monday, May 9, 1938 was read and a motion. was made by Trustee , Pottenger, which was seconded by Trustee Peterson granting The Chicaga Federation of Aged and Adult Charities permission to hold a Tag Day in the-Village of Deerfield on Monday,May 9, 1938.. Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Hertel, Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Stupple. Those voting "Nayu being None. The following bills were read and it was moved by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee Stupple that these bills be approved for payment on receipt of proper funds. Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee Hertel, Palmer, Peterson, Pottengpr.and Stupple. Nays- None.
