A motion was made by.Trustee,Bradt and seconded by Trustee Peterson
.that the Deputy Building Commissioner be authorized to issue a building
permit to Richard Evans for .the erection of a light manufacturing building on
Lot 3R Block 3 in Hall and Oaterman's- Subdivision.
Motion unanimously carried. Thoae voting "Aye" being Trustee `BanfIield,
Bradt, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Those voting "Nay" being None.
It was moved 'by Trustee Bradt and seconded.by Trustee Stanger,that the
Water Superintendent be authorized to purchase 2 Curb Cocks and 24 Solder
Nipples.

Stanger that we "accept the resignation of Mrs. Martha Jordan-as,Health
Officer and that -a letter of•=thanks be sent to her for her -fine services.

Trustees confirm the appointmeht.

It was moved by Trustee Barfield and seconded by Trustee Peterson
that we accept the bid of Kuch & rdatson, Lake Forest, Illinois, for the
repair of the sanitary sewer at the Northeasterly corner of the Village
of Deerfield for the sum of $482.00, said repair to be completed on
or before July 1, 1949•
• Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas - Trustee Barfield,
Bradt, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Nays- None. ?lotion carried.
Trustee King aide a notion which vas seconded by Trustee Bradt that
we authorize the purchase of 3 new tires for the squad car.

A motion wus made by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee
Bantield.that the matter of the lawsuit, NAtionah Briar Co. vs The-:
Village of Deerfield bevreferred to our Village Attorney Erwin Seago.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee
Barfield, Bradt, King, Uercurio, Peterson and Stanger.. -Those voting
"Nay" being None.
It was moved by Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee .Banfield
that the Health Officer be paid a- tentative salary of $25.OU Zper month.

that we have one carnival in-the.-Village of Deerfield --and that 25% of-the
net proceeds go to the.Jewett- Park Association.

the Village of Deerfield for the-period from January 1, -1949 to December
