01/13/1948127 - January 13 1948• The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Robert S. Alexander at 8:15 P. M. Roll call. - Present - Trustee Banfield, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Absent Trustee Bradt. The minutes of the regular meeting held December 9, 1947 were read and approved. < It was moved by Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee Mercurio that ,we approve the plat of dedication of Chestnut St. from Greenwood Avenue to the-existing street in Woodland.Park, as submitted by -Mr. Edwards of Percy Wilson & Co. .Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee Bsnfield, King, Mercurio, Peterson and.Stanger. Nays. None. Motion caried. Yeas - Trustee Banfield, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Nays- None. Motion carried. Trustee Stanger made a motion which was seconded by. Trustee King that we approve the action of Trustee Bradt in submitting a sealed bid to,the City of Highland Park in the amount of 4600.00 for 8" slightly used compound water meter. Motion unanimously carried,, Those voting "Aye ";being Trustee Banfield, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Those votig "ray" being None. It was moved by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee Stanger that the bill-of ?300 cu. ft. of water consumed at the Presbyterian Church . Prom Nov. 4, 1947 -to January 12, 1948 on account of.leek in the building, be adjusted as follows;-1000 cu* ft. at 32J per.100 cu. ft..or 03.20 and the balance of 6300.cu. ft. Q W per 100 cu..ft, or $9.45 raking a total of $12.65Roll Roll call - ,resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Banfield,. King, Mercurio, Peterson and.Stanger. Nays- None. L'otion-carried. Trustee - Mercurio -and seconded by Trustee Peterson that the salary of George Stieken ,Sr.- be- raised-to-$225.00•and the salary of Herbert Roll to 1225.00 per - month. The•salary of George Sticken,Sr. is to be retroactive to the time - the other-increases-were made.'
