11/11/1947NOW, THEREFOR, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the ]?resident and Board,of Trustees of,the Village.of Deerfield, Iake_County, Illinois,.that the application of Groyhound Bus.Lines, be, and it is hereby supported as being in the interest of public con- venience and necessity, that the Illinois Commerce Commission be requested to approve said application. Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Bonfield, Bradt, King, Mercurio, Stanger and Peterson. Nays- None. Motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee Stanger that the portion of Potomac Avenue from Deerfield Avenue to the Union Drainage Ditch and that the alley running from Woodward Avenue to Potomac Avenue approximately 150 feet north of Deerfield Avenue, be vacated. Roll call- Yeas - Trustea Banfield, Bradt, King, Mercurio, Paterson and Stanger. Nays- None. Motion carried. Trustee Mercurio made a motion which was seconded by Trustee King that we increase the salary of Chief of Police Percy McLaughlin Fifty ($50900) Dollars per month and the salary of Night Officer Alfred H. Anderson Thirty ($30.001 per month and that the same take effect as of October 16, 1947. Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas - Trustee Banfield, Bradt, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Nays. None. Motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Bradt and seconded by Trustee Stanger that the salary of William D. 7ohnston be increased Forty,($40.00) Dollars per month and the same to take.effect as of October 16, 1947. _ Roll call resulted as follows. The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the president Robert S. Alexander at 8 P. M. and the following trustees responded to the roll call -: Banfield, Bradt, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Absent -None. The minutes of the regular meeting held on October 14, 1947 were read and approved. Trustee Stanger made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Bradt that the resolution as presented for the foreclosure of the lien of the unpaid installments of the special assessments levied against certain lots in Briargate Villas Subdivision, be passed. Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas - Trustee Banfield, Bradt, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Nays- None.
