that upon the recommendation of the YToad and Bridge Committee, William
Johnston be authorized to hire someone as an assistant in order to give
him tima for more important duties.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. 'Yens- Trustee Bradt,
Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays- None. Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee Stanger
that the following resolution relative to Hickory Woods Subdivision
be adopted as read:
RESOLVED, that the plat of Hickory roods, being a subdivision of
part of the =4 of the NW4 of Sec. 34 and of part of the SW4 of the SW4
of Sec. 27, all in Township l+3N, Range 12, East of the 3rd P. Me in
Lake County,`Illinois, having been considered by the Planning Commission, '
be and the same is hereby approved; provided that the word "accepted"
on thelface of the plat be removed;'provided further that the.plat be s «•
fully executed by appropriate Village and Comity officials; provided.

T the motions of December 14, 1946 and of February 11, 1946 requesting monies
from the Motor Fuel Tax Fund fok thetputpose of installing two street lights
at the intersection of r;aukegan'Road and Deerfield Road and instead we
adopt a resolution appropriating $1700.00 for'the purpose of installing
these lights.
Notion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Bradt,
Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Those voting "Nay" being None.
A motion was made by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Bradt that
the resolution relative to.the master Plan for the Village of Deerfield as

The new members of the Board of Trustees, Banfisld, king and Peterson "!
were presented and introduced by the retiring Board members, Cazel, Scott !
and Tennis.
The new Board convened with the following members responding to roll call;
Trustee Banfield, Bradt, King, Mercurio, Peterson and Stanger. Absent - None.
Trustee Mercurio made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Banfield
that permission be granted to the Deerfield Fire Department to erect a sign
on their property on Deerfield Road just east of the St. Paul right of way
advising the public that this is to be the future site for the new fire station.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Banfield, Bradt, King,
Mercurio, Paterson and Stanger. Nays- None. ?lotion carried.
President Alexander appointed the following to serve on -the various
=committees and a motion was made bjr Trustee Bradt and seconded by TruEatee
Stanger that these appointments-be confirmed by the Board.

duty of recommending to the Board the drafting of ordinances as well as

permits, etc.,-as well ac making certuin that collections are made on them.

The Water Committee will have charge of the-construction, operation,,
and maintenance,of all water mains and the operation and maintenance of meters
