03/11/19478.3 March 11,1947- The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield-was called to order by the President Robert S- Alexander at 8:15 P* Me t Roll call- Present- Trustee Bradt,'Caz31, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and • Tennis. t Absent - None. ' The minutes of the regular meeting held on Fcbruary 11, 1947 were read and approved. A complaint was made by George Emmett.who resides at ?55 raukegan " .Road regarding the paekinU of trucks in the business district during-the, night with the rotors running. This matter was referred to the Judiciary Committee. Ruth E.,Pettis'nformed the Board of Trustees that'the Collector's .record shows that there is a balance due on the tenth installment for'the Spacial Assessment Varrant No- "37-in the amount of $20.62 on the following described property;-beeinning at a point 135 feet South of the South line of Grand Avenue and the East line of Chestnut Street, thence East 90.12 feet, thence South 40 feet, thence West 90.12 feet, thence North 40 feet to the P. 0. Be in that part of North East I of the North East 4 in Section 32, Township 43N, Range 12, East of the 3rd Meridian, Lake County, Illinois. Ruth E- Pettis then presented a bill receipted by C. E. Huhn on January 29, 1930 with the notation "Assessment Paid in Full" and as the ovrner Elmer Pettis v:as not notified at the time this shortage was discovered, Mae. Pettisffelt Ahat this item of $20.62 should be marked "Paid" A motion was made by Trustee Scott and seconded by Trustee Tennis that the Collector be instraeted to accapt the above mentioned receipt as evidenen that payment has been made in full and that the Illinois Title Co. be notified that this action has been. taken by the Board of Trustees. Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Plays- None. Motion carried. The following bills were read and a motion was riado by Trustee Stanger and seconded by Trustee Bradt that these bills be paid,�if, as, and when funds are available. Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Bradt, Cakel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Those voting'"Nay" being None• _ Trustee Stanger requested to be excused. Arthur Scheskie asked that he be given a passenger car license in lieu of a truck.liconse which he had dust purchased but did not use, due to the fact that he has sold the truck. This request was granted with the, understanding that no rebate is to be given. Trustee Scott made a motion that the ordinance providing for the annexation of certain territory to the Village of Deerfield,•hake County, Illinois, be passed. This motion was seconded by Trustee Tennis. Roll call resulted as fmllows. Yeas - Trustee Bradt, Caiel,. Mercurio, Scott an$ Tennis. Nays- None. Motion carried. Motion made by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Mercurio that we sell all of our carnival equipment to the Deerfield Fire-Department at the price of $1.00. Motion unanimously carried.
