09/10/1946;September 10, 1946• Mis regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Robert S. Alexander at 8 Pe Me with the following trustees responding to the roll call -: Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio and Tennis. Absent- Trustee Scott and Stanger. The minutes of•the regular meeting held IAugust 139- 3 1946 were read and l approved. . A notice of letting was published. in -the Deerfield Review for the con- struction of a.headuall. and the restoration of a failed section of i2» sanitary nower,.said- bdds.to be received at the office of the.Village_Clerk until 8 o'clock P. M. Only one bid was received and the clerk was instructed to open said bid which was submitted by George D. Hardin in the amount of 1 $39759.45• Trustee Mercurio made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Cazel that the contract be awarded to George Hardin subject to.the approval of Village Engineer Walther and the Finance.Committsee Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio and Tennis. Nays None. Motion carried. Trustee Cazel made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Bradt that the following resolution b•_pa,•Aed- .WHEREAS, in tho Villages of Deerfield 'and Bannockburn, Lake n County, Illinois,'and the surrounding community, there have , been eampaigns,'and'drives` for charitable contributions for many years, all on behalf.'of; several different charitable organizations, and VVIM EAS, the Deerfield Civic Association and other community 3 representatives and organizations, including the Bo Scouts, r . Girl Scouts,.
