Mis regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Robert S. Alexander
at 8 Pe Me with the following trustees responding to the roll call -: Bradt,
Cazel, Mercurio and Tennis. Absent- Trustee Scott and Stanger.

A notice of letting was published. in -the Deerfield Review for the con-
struction of a.headuall. and the restoration of a failed section of i2»
sanitary nower,.said- bdds.to be received at the office of the.Village_Clerk
until 8 o'clock P. M. Only one bid was received and the clerk was instructed
to open said bid which was submitted by George D. Hardin in the amount of
1 $39759.45•
Trustee Mercurio made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Cazel
that the contract be awarded to George Hardin subject to.the approval of
Village Engineer Walther and the Finance.Committsee
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio
and Tennis. Nays None. Motion carried.
Trustee Cazel made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Bradt that

n County, Illinois,'and the surrounding community, there have ,
been eampaigns,'and'drives` for charitable contributions for
many years, all on behalf.'of; several different charitable
organizations, and

American Legion, the Am eta, Woman's Club and the Chamber of

have;all concluded, after,due consideration, that established,..

t, combine their financial' efforts and drives under the guidance
and authority of;a single organization to be created and known -

the - consequent confusion and difficulty in sustaining interest

The matter of resubdividing Solomon's subdivision so as to.eliminate the
closeness of hillside Avenue to Potomac Avenue was referred to the Plan -
Commission for further study.

receipt of the proper funds.

Trustee Cazel made a motion which was secohded by Trustee Tennis
_t#at bills be sent.to those property owners on -whose premises weeds were.-
cut.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - -Trustee Bradt, Cazel,-Mercurio
and Tennis. Nays- "None. Motion carried.
~ It was moved by.Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Mercurio that
there be appropriated from the Motor Fael.Tax Fund the sum of._0400.00 for.
the repair.of_ the bridge across the Union Drainage Ditch..at'Juniper "Street.
` Motion unanimously carried , Those voting ,"Aye" being Trustee Bradt,
Cazel,,Mercurio, and`Tennis: _ Tnose voting "Ney" being None-—
Trustee Mercurio made a motion. that the license fee for kennels be
reduced from $25.00 per year to $15.00 per year and -that all kennels must
comply.to the terms of the ordinance. This motion was seconded by Trustee
Cazel.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. yeas- Trustee Bradt#
Cazel, Mercurio and Tennis. ;Nays- None. Motion carried.
Moved by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee Tennis that the
ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance of•.the Village of Deerfield, Lake
County# Illinois, be passed as.read.
