Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas - Trustee Bradt,
Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays- None. Motion carried.
Trustee Mercurio made a motion that permission be granted to the
Chicago Childrens'League to tag in the Village of Deerfield on October 8,
1946 and that the President Robert Alexander notify -the league of tte
Board's action. This motion was seconded by Trustee Tennis.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio,
Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays- None. - Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee Bradt
that the letter from the Public Service Company of Northern Illinois
agreeing to.furnish such amount of electrical energy as may be reasonably
necessary for the lighting of the Village Hall, Police and Fire Stations
on South Waukegan Road without charge so long as the ordinance passed by - -�\
the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield on April
9, 1946 shall remain in full force and effect# be. accepted and placed on
file.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - All. Nays - None, d;otion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Tennis and seconded by Trustee Scott
that the Village Board appropriate $500.00ttoward the payment of a duster
Plan contract as submitted by the Plan Commission contingent upon the �(
raising of the balance of $3500.00 by popular subscription.. 1`
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye "'being Trustee Bradt,
Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Those voting "Nay" being None.
Trustee Mercurio made a motion that we make June 19 1946 as the dead
line for the payment of vehicle and dog licenses. Motion seconded by
Trustee Cazel.
A motion was made by Trustee Bradt and seconded by Trustee Stanger
that this motion be tabled.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas. Trustee Bradt, Scott, Stanger
and Tennis. Nays- Trustee Cazel and Mercurio. *Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Mercurio
that we apply for a permit from the Illinois State Highway DepartmOnt
to dig a trench across the R.O.W. for the installation of water service
from an existing main to the property line on the opposite side of
street in three locations on Route S.A.11 Sec. Z, Sta. 97 -60 to Sta.
106-08

A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Robert S.
Alexander at 8 P. M. for the purpose of passing an ordinance fixing the
official time, to ppen bids for a Tractor Mower and°pass on ;.any other
natters which may be brought-to the attention of the Board*
Roll cs�ll. Present- Trustee Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger
and Tennis. Absent- None,
Trustee Mercurio made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Stanger
that-the ordinance fixing the official time within the Village of Deerfield,
Lake County, -- Illinois, -.be. passed.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio,

BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board or
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Laka County, Illinoist
SECTION l t That from and aster two ( 2:00) o'clock A. M,
' on Sunday, April 28, 1946, ''Daylight Savings Time" shall be
the official time within the Vi17a ge of Doo'rfield for the
transaction of all Village business. All legal or official
�a pr0000dins of the President and Hoard of Trustees and all
.,' official business of than Village shall be ragulted as to
time in - accordance with the provisions of this section; and
when an Tact In to bo performed by ordinance, resolution
or action of a municipal officer or body, much act must be
performed according to the official time as heroin prescribed.
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances

A -legal notice having been published as required by law for sealed bids
to be received by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield at the
_ special meeting of said Board on Monday, April 29, 1946 until 8 P. M.
(Daylight Saving Time),at the office of the Village "Clerk,'for the purchase
of a Tractor Mower. .
The following bids were received;
Patten Tractor do EquiPMont Co. -Case Model VAI with ,5 foot power lift
plower and one extra sickle -------- -- --------- -- -------- -- $1,269.88
Roseman Tractor Dower Co. Ford Ferguson Tractor equipped with a
5 foot Power Lift Heavy Duty Mower and one extra sickle -- $1,170.89
A, motion was made by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Mercurio
that as the Roseman Tractor Mower Co. has submitted the lowest bid, NO
accept their bid at the price of $1#170.00.
