Village Clerk MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY, DECIMBER 14, 1953 The regular meeting of the Board of TMustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order in the Council Chambers of-the Village Hall on X'onday. December 14, 1953 at 8:00 P.M. The Clerk celled the roll and reported that the following were Present: John D. Schneider, President Eugene F. Engelhard Hubert N. Kelley Joseph 14. King Raymond T. Meyer Absent: Harold W. Wynkoop and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Minutes of the meeting held November 9, 1953 and the adjourned meeting held November 23, 1953 were approved as submitted. Trustee Kelley moved, Seconded by Trustee Engelhard, that the Ordinance Granting Village Board hereby adopts and approves the recommendation of Variance:: the`Board of Zoning Appeals that a variance be granted to permit the construction of a residence on the 50 ft. tract consisting %J of Lots 56 and 57 of Block 4 in Deerfield Park Land and Improvement Association Sub- division leaving a side yard of 5 ft. on each side, and the Ordinance granting this variance be passed. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Engelhard, Kelley,King, Meyer (4) Nays: None (0) A letter from Orphans of the Storm, requesting the Village Board Communications to enact and Ordinance prohibiting trapping within the Village, was referred t the Police Committee. The letter from the Chamber of Commerce regarding parking in the business district, stated the members were opposed to parking meters, and asked that the 90 minute. parking limit be enforced. President Schneider stated that signs would be put up, and an attempt would be made to enforce this ordinance. The report of the Plan Commission recommended that the Subdivision Plan Commission Plat submitted by Mr. Roy Davis not be approy_ed�, since it was not Report -Davis in conformity with Village ordinances. Mr. Davis stated that in Subdivision his opinion, the proposed subdivision did comply, and asked what could be done in order to get some action on approval. President Schneider referred this matter to the Committee on Building and Zoning for further study. The letter from Ifr. Kenneth Shorts, Attorney representing owners. Approve Purchase of the Supple property, was read, setting forth terms of sale of Supple Property said property as,follows: price, 15,500 with time limit on pay- ment of July 1, 1954; the Village of Deerfield to pay up all Special Assessments outstanding on the entire tract; and granting an easement for a public street on the north edge of the property.
