08/10/19530 August 10, 1953 The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the'President John D. Schneider at 8:00 p.m. Roll Call — Present: Trustees Engelhard, Kelley, Marxe'r, Meyer, Wynkoop. Absent: Trustee King. Trustee Engelhard moved,'seconded by Trustee Kelley, that the Ordinance levying taxes for corporate purposes for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1953 and ending April 30, 1954 be passed. The`vote was as follows: Yeas, Trustees Engelhard- Kelley, Marxert Meyer, Wynkoop.,Nays, None. 14otion carried. - SEE'ORDINANCE ATTACHED. Motion was ixide by Trustee Engelhard,,seconded by Trustee Meyer, that the Ordinance relative to tax levies for.street.and bridge purposes be passed. The vote was as follows: Yeas, Trustees Engelhard,'Kelley., Marxer, Meyer, Wynkoop. Nays, None. Motion carried. SEE ORDINANCE ATTACHED•. t Trustee Engelhard moved, seconded.by Trustee•Marxer.. that the compromise offer of 0300.001 the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company for release-of claims against said\ company be accepted, with their check for that amount. Minutes of the regular meeting of July i3, 1953 were approved as typed.
