Trustee Engelhard moved, seconded by Trustee Wynkoop, that the budget presented
by the Village Manager be approved. The vote was as follows: Yeas, 111. Nays, None.
Motion mrried.
Motion was made by Trustee Wynkoop, secodded by Trustee Kelley, that -the meeting
be adjourned to June 15, 1253 at 8 :00 p.m. at the Village-Hall.-The vote-was as
follows: Yeas, All. Nays, one. Motion carried. Whereupon the President declared
the meeting adjourned to June 15, 1953•

The adjourned meeting of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield was called to order by the rresident:
Roll Call — Present: Trustees Engelhard, Kelley, King, Marxer, Meyer.
Absent: Trustee Wynkoop.
DrainnAge and sewage problems in the vicinity of Hemlock Street were discussed
with residents. Decision was made to spread gravel and install temporary catch
basins to improve drainage until permanent improvements can be made.
Trustee Engelhard moved, seconded by Trustee Meyer, that Baxter & Woodman be
authorized and directed to prepare ;,lens and specifications for the improve-
ment of the village sewer system and the installation of a treatment plant in
accordance with the recommendations of the State Sanitary Water Board and State
Health Department and in accordance with the engineer's report by Baxter &
Woodman to the Village accompanied by letter dated July 25, 1952, as described
and designated therein as Plan #2 plus the construction of the mains and
appurtenances thereto described in pages 35-to 51 of the said report. This
authorization is in furtherance and subject to the terms of the contract
hitherto entered into between the Village of Deerfield and Baxter & Woodman
for their services in connection herewith.
Thomas A. Matthews, Attorney, is authorized and directed to prepare the
necessary documents and advise the Board on matters concerning the adoption
of an ordinance for the making of this improvement and the issuance of bonds
and sale of bonds to finance the cost thereof.
Roll Call resulted as dollows: Yeas, Trustee Engelhard, Kelley, King, Meyer,
Marxer. Nays, None. 14otion carried.

that the foregoing is a true, correct and complete copy of a motion passed by
the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield at a duly convened
meeting thereof on the 15th day of June, 1953•

Motion was made by Trustee King, seconded by Trustee Meyer, that the resolution
on Special Assessments presented by Tenney, Sherman, Bentley and Guthrie be
referred to the Village Attorney for approval. The vote was as follows: Yeas,
Trustees Engelhard, Kelley, King, "'arxer, Meyer. bays, None. Motion carried.
Trustee nelley moved, Seconded by Trustee Marxer, to refer to the Board of
Zoning Appeals the petition of Dr. Bendinelli for a variance'in the Zoning
ordinance. Motion carried,the vote being as follows: Yeas, All. Nays, None.
President Schneider appointed Mr. Frank Curto to the Board of Zoning Appeals.
Motion was made by Trustee Engelhard, seconded by Trustee Kelley,-that the
Board confirm this appointment. The vote was as follows: yeas, All. Nays, None.
Motion carried.
There being no further business, on motion duly made and seconded, the meeting
