Upon roil call the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff, Meintzer, Wilson and S7ynkoop. Nays- None. Motion carried. F=LVED: That the Board deems.it in the best interests of ilid Village of Deerfield to vacate the alley running north and south in the block bounded on the north by Walnut Street, on the west by the Union Drainage Ditchs on the south by the previously vacated east -west alley, and on the east by Woodward Avenue$ when the following conditions have been met and subject to the retention of easements as the statute requires for utilities: 1 Payment of compensation to the Village by each land owner of 05.00 per 100 feet or portion thereof abutting on the alley. 123 124 A motion was made by Trustee Meintzer `and secohded by Trustee Wilson that we grant permission to the Amvets Post #63 to hold a carnival on Tuly 16, 17, 18 and 199 1953 provided they furnish a_050s000 /1009000 Public Liability Bond. , ` Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff, Meintzer, Wilson and Wynkoop. 'Nays - None.'Motioa carried.' Trustee Meintzer made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Wilson that permission be granted to the American Legion Post #738 to hold a carnival on August 20, 21, 22 and 23, 1953 provided that they'furnish a $509000.001 -1009000 Public Liability Bond. Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff, Meintzer, Wilson and Wynkoop.- .Those voting 'Nay" being None. It was moved b�'Trustee Meintzer and seconded by Trustee Wilson that a permit be granted to the Shell.011 Co. for the•construction of a driveway,subject ` to the following provisions; that the heavy duty light..polo,on.the east side of Waukegan Road located near the intersection of Longfellow Avenue and Waukegan Road be moved "approaimately.26 feet north and that-.and-that at the direction *of the Road_and.Arldgs- Committee -an additional light pole be installed at the southwest_corner..of.Waukegan Road and Osterman Avenue.
