The ninutes 6f the regular meeting held Tanuary 12, 1953 were approved as typed.
The following bills wero read and a notion was made by Trustee Hinchsliff
and seconded by Trustee King that these bills be paidp if, as, and when
funds are available.

A motion was made by Trustee Engelhard and seconded by Trustee Ti:ynkooP
that the resolution appropriating 049000.00 of hotor Fuel Tax Funds for
the purpose of maintaining Arterial Streets under the llotor Fuel Tay Law,
from Tanuary 1, 1953 to December 31, 1953, be adopted.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff, Kingf
heintzer and 17ynkoop. Nays- None. Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Engelhard and seconded by Trustee Meintzer that
the resolution for a one -year construction program for otreet improvements
under the Xotor Fuel Tax Law, be adopted and that the Village Clork be

Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee Engelhard,
Hinchsliff, King, Meintzer and Wynkoop. Nays- Nonvo.Motion carried*
Trustee Engelhard made a motion which v:as seconded b;* Trustee Heintzer
that the resolution for a long range construction program for the period
from Tanuary`19 1953 to December 31, 1957 under the Motor Biel Tax Law,
be adopted and that the Village Clerk be instructed to sign this
resolution.'
-Motion unanimously carried. Those voting . "Aye" being Trustee Engelhards
Hinchsliff, King, Eeintzer and Wynkoop. Those-voting !'Nay" being None.
A motion was made'by iiustee Engelhard and seconded.by Trustee Hinchsliff
that the bill for the insurance premium on the municipal gaiage'as sub-
mitted by He To '!ding, Deerfield, Illinois, in the amount of x1240900
payable as follows; Tan. 9, 1953 - 0301.00, 'Tan. 9, 1954 -" 0234-75,

be approved for payment.

sign be installed at the intersection 9f Orchard Street annosemary
Terrace. "

A motion was made ty Trustee Vfynkoop and seconded by Trustee Meintzer
that we purchase sirens and flasher lights for the squad cars at a
cost not to exceed �300.00e

It was moved by Trustee Engelhard and seconded by Trustee Hinchsliff that
the resolution authorizing the Village Manager Gayle T. Martin to make
inquiry to the Board of Trustees of the North Shore Sanitary District
regarding the feasibility of annexing Deerfield to the district, be
adopted.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee Engelhardt
Hinchsliff, King, Meintzer and Wynkoop. Nays - None. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Hinchsliff and seconded by Trustee Meintzer
that we adopt the majority report of the Board of Appeals which denies
the petition as submitted by the Briarwoods Home Owners Association
for rezoning and that the building permits which "are being held, be
delivered to the Robert Bartlett Realty Company.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Hinchsliff and Meintzer.
Nays.. Trustee Engelhard, King and Uynkoop. Motion lost.
Trustee Engelhard made a motion which was seconded by Trustee Hinchsliff
that this meeting be adjourned to Friday evening, February 13, -1953 at
