12/08/1952114 December g, 1952• The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Andrew G.-Bradt at 8 P. M. with the following trustees respond- ing to the.rohl call - .Engelhard, HinchsliffI King, Meintzer, Wilson and Wynkoop. Absent - None. Motion 'carried. The minutes of the regular meeting hold November -10, 1952 and of the special meeting held December 1, 1952,were read*and approved. ' It was moved by Trustee Engelhard and seconded by Trustee Meintzer that the ordinance creating a Board,of Local Improve- ments, be passed. ' Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff, King, Meintzer, Wilson and Wynkoop. Nays- •None.. Motion carried. Ordinance No. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of.Deerfield, that: ' Sections 76 and 77 of'Chapier 7 of the Municipal Code of Deer - field of 1916 be and the same is hereby. amended as follows: Sec. 76. Establishment.) The-Board-of Local Improvements of the Village shall consist of the President.and all village trustees. Seca 77. Functions.) The Board of Local Improvements shall meet at 7:50 P. M. on the second Monday of each month and'at such other times and places as may be determined by the Board, and shall have the powers and duties assigned to the Board of Local Improvements by statute, The village clerk shall.be secretary of the board: This ordinance shall"be in force from and after its passage and approval.• Passed this 8th day of December,(1952 APPROVED: - .. It is to the .best interests of the village that the al ey, n.the.village described hereafter be vacated: The alley running east and west, south of and parallel to Hazel Avenue between Woodward and Potomac Avenue; And the same is hereby vacated; PROVIDED, HOj7EVER, that there is reserved to the Village of Deerfield and any licensef.or person holding a franchise therefrom, the Public Service Company of L1. M, �i .:: = Northern Illinois, and- -the-- Illinois Bell Telephone Coiapany, their successors and- assigns,--the right, permission and authority to maintain their property and rights of way and easements to constrict; operate;• maintain -and renew -their poles, wires, cables; mains -and necessary fixtures for the transmission e€ and-distribution-of-electricity., for the carrying and distribution of gas and for the transmission of communications, together--with--the right of access.-to the same for the maintenance thereof, and also to trim from time to time such trees, bushes- and -saplings -as -may reasonably be required for the-construction and- efficient - operation of said poles, wires, cables; - mains, --and- necessay fixtures in the aforesaid vacated- alley;,- and- - provided- -further -that there is reserved to-the village the-right-to-continue the use of, replace, repair and maintain any sewer,- water, -or other municipal utility now--located-wi-thin--such, alleyr Section J-;--This-ordinance--shall--be-in full force and effect-from and-after-its-passage--and approval as pro- vided by law. John Be Carson tendered his resignation as a member of the Plan Commission. The President A. G. Bradt appointed Mr. Gordon Norman, 734 Osterman Avenue to replace Mr. John Be Carson, a member of the plan Commission. The following were reappointed as members of the Safety Council for anothor year; Maurice Co Petesch, Dr. . Paul Kellor, Vt. J. Ziarshall, J Kathryn Price, _qt=-gw=2==tt and Robert L. Gougler, and Mr. William He Madden was appointed as.a member of tho Building Committee to replace Mr, Maurice C.�petesch whose resignation.had been previously accepted. • Trustee'Hinchsliff made a motion which was seconded by.Trustee Wynkoop that these appointments be- confirmed by the Board of'Trustees.` • Roll call resulted as.,follows. A petition was submitted by the Briarwoods Home Owners Association, Inc., requesting that a new Residence Zone,be established, to be known as "AAA" Residence District which requires that a one story residence shall have 1400 square feet of inside floor area and a two story • residence shall have a total floor area of 1750 square feet inside' floor area. The section of Deerfield that is petitioned for -such rezoning is that area lying north of Deerfield Road and serviced by and surrounded by Vtarrington, Cumner,.Carlisle, parts of Warwick and Oxford, Margate -and Beverly, which is the area heretofore -known as Tackett Subdivision propertyi•was referred to the Board.of Appeals.
