Contract for sewer charges
BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Cook and Lake
Counties, Illinois, that:
Section 1. The proposed contract between the
Village of Deerfield and the City of Highland Park,
relating to sewage services, a copy of which contract
is hereto attached and by this reference made a part
hereof, is hereby approved.
Section 2. The President and Clerk are hereby
authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the
Village.

CONMCT FOR SZ Mi TREATMENT SEPICHS
WHEMS, the Briarpte Villa. Subdivisions, located in Highland
Park, Illinois, has. been served by the Village of Deerfield sewage
system for many years, - for :the, mutual convenience of the Village of
Deerfield and the City of Highland Park; and
WHEREAS, the sewer mains In said subdivision were Installed at
the expense of the property owners in said +subdivision, and connected
to the sewage system of the Village of Deerfield.
Iii, THEREFORE, the Village of Deerfield, a municipal. corporation,
and the City of HAghland Perk, a municipal corporation, hereby agree
as followsa
1. The Village of Deerfield will accept and treat sewage from
the subdivision described above. The City of HISbIand Park will m&lntain
the sewer mains to said subdivision without any cost to the Village of
Deerfield..
2. The City of Highland Bark will pay the Village of Deerfield
for the sewage, treatment services referred to hereft. The cost shall
be billed quarterly by they Flnence Department of the Village of
Deerfield.to the City of Righland Park. The amowt due under this
contract shall be determined as follows:
a. The amount of water ' consumad at each of the premises served
will be determined from the water bills of Highland Park for the six
winter months; these figures , wills be furnished by Hfthiand Park to
Deerfield.
b. The amounts due,for each.of the premises served shall be
determined by applying one and one-half times the rate charged to
users within the Village'of Deerfield, to the amounts consumed at
each-of the premises served; said.amounts shall be totaled, and the
toterl shall be the amount due from Highland Park to Deerfield.
e. Nothing In this Contract shall be construed as limiting
the right of Highland ftrk to collect such charges' as- it sees fit
from the owners or occupants of the premises served under the terms .
of this contract.
3. This contract shall be in full forcee , and effect for . one year
from the date of.its execution. This contract shall automatically
be renewed from year to year unless one or both parties to the contract
notifies the'othor 3n'vriting at least thirty days prior to the
expiration date.
