A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN IDENTITY PROTECTION POLICY
WHEREAS, the Identity Protection Act, 5 ILCS 179/1, et seq.,
requires that local governments take certain action to adopt an
Identity Protection Policy to protect individual social security
numbers; and
WHEREAS, The Village of Deerfield has determined that the policy
attached to this resolution labeled "Village of Deerfield Identity-
Protection Policy" is in the best interest of the Village and its
citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, in the exercise of its home rule powers, that the Village of
Deerfield Identity- Protection Policy, attached, is hereby approved,
and
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage
and approval in the manner provided by law.
