R-65-23RESOLUTION NO. 0 -65 -23 WHEREAS, a Comprehensive Amendment to the Lake County Zoning Ordinance has been proposed to be enacted by the County Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, although the classification of'land and uses permitted under the said ordinance apply only to the unincorporated areas of Lake County, the provisions thereof will have an effect on adjacent properties within a municipality; and WHEREAS, the zoning within a municipality should be determinative upon the zoning of an adjacent unincorporated area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, that: 1. The Village objects to and protests against the classification of the property of the National Brick Company in blest Deerfield Township as General Industrial (GI), Limited Industrial (LI), and UR -2 districts as not being compatible with the zoning of abutting property within the Village, and recommends the classification for each of said districts as LI, OR and UR -1, respectively. Within these classifications, the Village objects to and protests against the inclusion of "extraction of earth products" and "solid waste disposal sites" as permitted uses under a Conditional Use permit in the LI and OR classifications, and "extraction of earth products" in the UR -1 district. 2. The Village concurs in the classification of Office and Research (OR) for the property bounded on the east by Wilmot Road, on the north by the We -Go Park Subdivision, on the west by the Toll Road, and on the south by County Line (Lake -Cook) Road, but objects to and protests against the inclusion of "extraction of earth products" and "solid waste disposal sites" as permitted uses under a Conditional Use permit in said classification. 3. The Village objects to and protests against the classification of the property bounded on the south by Deerfield Road, on the west by the Toll Road, on the north by Sherman's Old Grove Estates Greenmont Subdivision and First Addition to Deerfield Park Subdivision, and on the east by First Addition to Deerfield Park Subdivision as a UR -2 district, and recommends the subject property be classified as a UR -1 district. The Village objects to and protests against the inclusion of 'extraction of earth products" as a permitted use under a Conditional Use permit in said classification. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be filed with the County Clerk of Lake County in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 34, Section 3158, Illinois Revised Statutes.
