RESOLUTION NO. R -10 -13
A RESOLUTION TERMINATING A SIGN LOCATION LEASE
WITH ZEBRA OUTDOOR, INC.
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield entered into a certain Sign Location Lease with Zebra
Outdoor, Inc. (the "Lessee "), dated January 7, 2008 (the "Lease "); and,
WHEREAS, Lessee has failed to submit a complete building permit application for
installation of the advertising structures on the leasehold premises as required under the Lease; and,
WHEREAS, the Village served a written notice of default on Zebra Outdoor, Inc. on July 1,
2010 in accordance with Section 23 of the Lease; and,
and,
WHEREAS, Zebra Outdoor, Inc. has failed to cure said default under the terms of the Lease;
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Deerfield have determined that the
Lease should be terminated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, in
the exercise of its home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1: The Village Manager of the Village of Deerfield is hereby authorized and
directed to send a written notice to Zebra Outdoor, Inc. terminating the Lease in accordance with
Section 23(b) of the Lease.
SECTION 2: The Sign Location Lease dated January 7, 2008 between the Village of
Deerfield and Zebra Outdoor, Inc. shall terminate as of the date of said written notice of termination.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval as provided by law.
