RATIFYING THE SELECTION OF THE NORTHERN TRUST COMPANY
AS THE VILLAGE FINANCIAL ADVISER
WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals to provide financial advising services for the Village was issued on July 25,
2007; and
WHEREAS, six firms responded to the RFP by the due date of August 22, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Village Finance Department staff reviewed the submittals and performed selected reference
checks to evaluate the firms that submitted proposals; and
WHEREAS, Village staff has recommended that the Northern Trust Company is best qualified to provide
financial advising services for future Village debt issuance; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village to select Northern Trust Company to provide financial
advising services to the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, in the exercise of its home rule powers,
that the Northern Trust Company is selected to provide financial advising services to the Village pursuant to the Request
for Proposal dated July 25, 2007 and their proposal dated August 22, 2007.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate letter of agreement be developed to acknowledge the
parties' agreement in this matter.
