RESOLUTION NO. R -07 -11
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER TO
ROBERT D. FRANZ OF THE VILLAGE'S INTEREST IN A
CERTAIN LIFE INSURANCE POLICY
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield has contributed to the equity value of a life insurance
policy taken out for the benefit of Village Manager Robert D. Franz over the past 28 years; and,
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Deerfield have determined that a
bonus should be awarded to Robert D. Franz on the eve of his retirement in consideration his
distinguished service to the Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, in
the exercise of its home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield do hereby
authorize and approve the transfer of the Village of Deerfield's interest in the Robert D. Franz split
value life insurance policy to Robert D. Franz in recognition of, and as final compensation for, his
service as Village Manager to the Village of Deerfield.
SECTION 2: That the Mayor, Interim Village Manager and Village Attorney be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver all such documents and instruments as may be
necessary or appropriate to effectuate this transfer.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval as provided by law.
