RESOLUTION NO. R -06 -02
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH
CALL ONE TO PROVIDE CERTAIN TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES FOR
THE DEERFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT MOBILE DATA SYSTEM
WHEREAS, Call One, a subsidiary of United Communications Systems, located at 1000
Skokie Boulevard, Wilmette, Illinois, has submitted a proposal to provide a T -1 data line to the
Village to enable the Deerfield Police Department's mobile data system to operate through Verizon's
cellular data services; and,
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the Village of Deerfield has recommended that the
Village enter into an agreement with Call One, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by this reference, to provide said telecommunications services to the Village as described in
said agreement for a three -year period at a cost not to exceed $835.00 per month;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, in
the exercise of its home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1: That a three -year contract to purchase certain telecommunications services
from Call One at a cost not to exceed $835.00 per month for purposes of the Deerfield Police
Department mobile data system, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference, be and the same is hereby approved.
SECTION 2: That the Village President is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the Village of Deerfield.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval as provided by law.
