RESOLUTION NO. R -05 -12
A RESOLUTION REQUIRING RECORD REVIEW ON APPEAL OF AN
ORDER OR ACTION OF THE LOCAL LIQUOR CONTROL
COMMISSIONER OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
WHEREAS, any order or action of the Local Liquor Control Commissioner of the Village of
Deerfield levying a fine or refusing to levy a fine on a liquor licensee, granting or refusing to grant a
liquor license, revoking or suspending or refusing to revoke or suspend a liquor license, or refusing
to grant a hearing upon a complaint to revoke or suspend a liquor license, is subject to appeal to the
State of Illinois Liquor Control Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Deerfield have determined that any
appeal to the Illinois Liquor Control Commission should be limited to a review of the official record
of the proceedings taken before the Local Liquor Control Commissioner of the Village of Deerfield
as provided in the Illinois Liquor Control Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, in
the exercise of its home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7 -9 of the Liquor Control Act of 1934,
235 ILCS 5/7 -9, any appeal to the Illinois Liquor Control Commission of an order or action of the
Local Liquor Control Commissioner of the Village of Deerfield shall be limited to a review of the
official record of the proceedings of such Local Liquor Control Commissioner.
SECTION 2: That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval as provided by law.
