RESOLUTION APPROVING EXECUTION OF
STATE CAPITAL GRANT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the provision and improvement of mass transportation facilities is
essential to the development of a safe, efficient, functional mass transportation system; and
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Transportation's authority to make
such grants, makes funds available to offset certain capital costs of providing and improving
mass transportation facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield has applied for funding of costs
associated with the design of a new pedestrian bridge over Deerfield Road at the METRA
Milwaukee Road Railroad Station (Project); and
WHEREAS, the Village's final application, including subsequent submittals,
information and documentation, as provided by the Village in support of the Project, has been
approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Mayor of the Village of Deerfield is hereby authorized and
ONE: directed to execute and file on behalf of the Village of Deerfield the
State Capital Grant Agreement (No. 3121).
SECTION That the Mayor of the Village of Deerfield is authorized to furnish such
THREE: additional information as may be required by the Illinois Department of
Transportation in connection with the aforesaid application for said
Agreement.
