A lengthy discussion was had on the draft of a resolution objecting
to certain designated zoning classifications and the uses permitted therein.
Trustee Schleicher stated that it was his opinion that the Board of
Education of School District #110, in its desire for the non -child producing
classification of OR for the property, was risking a greater intensity of
land use in the Hovland Subdivision that would more than offset ahy benefits
from the OR designation. Trustee Forrest suggested the SR Suburban Residential
classification for the property with its 40,000 sq. ft. lots as being
compatible with the 36,000 sq. ft. lots in Hovland Subdivision.
Trustee Smith moved, seconded by Trustee Craig, that the OR classification
be approved for the above described property, and objection be made to the
"extraction of earth products" and "solid waste disposal sites" as Conditional
Uses within the said district. Adopted by the tollowing vote:
Ayes: Craig, Smith, Wetzel (3)
Nays: Forrest, Schleicher (2)

OR property
is vacant.
