A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was
called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Monday,
July 17, 1978 at 8:10 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported that the following
were
Present: Bernard Forrest, President
D. Jeffrey Blumenthal
Norma Gavin
Jerold L. Heisler
Edwin B. Seidman
Vernon E. Swanson
Absent: Cynthia J. Marty
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were Messrs.
Herbert Linn, representing the Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager.
Resolution- Approve Vouchers Mr. Blumenthal moved, seconded by Mr. Heisler, that
1,2,3,4 S/A 114 Kates a Resolution be adopted approving the issuance of
Road Improvements Vouchers 1, 2, 3, and 4, Special Assessment No. 114,
Kates Road Improvements, as follows:
1. C. & L. Paving Company, Inc. (less retention) $57,208.63
2. Phillip E. Cole
3. Pedersen & Houpt
4. Village of Deerfield
3,300.00.

and directing the secretary to execute the Certificate of Issuance of First Voucher to
be filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Lake County, Illinois, upon the issuance
of such voucher to C. & L. Paving Company, Inc.
Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Blumenthal, Gavin, Heisler, Seidman, Swanson (5)
Nays: None (0)
There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements,
on motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Seidman, the meeting was adjourned at
8:12 p.m.
