A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was
called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Monday,
November 21, 1977 at 8:00 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported that the
following were
Present: Bernard Forrest, President
Norma Gavin
Jerold L. Heisler
Cynthia J. Marty
Vernon E. Swanson
Absent: D. Jeffrey Blumenthal
Edwin B. Seidman
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were
Messrs. James Stucko, representing the Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager.
Mrs. Marty moved, seconded by Mr. Heisler, that the minutes of the meeting of the
Board of Local Improvements held November 7, 1977 be approved as submitted. Motion
carried unanimously.
Resolution -Award Contract The Resolution was presented listing the five
James DiPietro Plumbing bidders who submitted bids for construction of
$37087.50 S/A 4113 a sanitary sewer along North Waukegan Road and
N Waukegan - Northwoods Northwoods Road, Special Assessment No. 113,
Sanitary Sewer awarding the contract to James DiPietro Plumbing
Corp. in the amount of $37,087.50, being the
lowest responsible bidder, and accepting the amount of $1,985.40 to be paid by the Village
of Deerfield as additional public benefit out of general, public benefit or other avail-
able funds, this additional amount reflecting the reasonable and fair increase in con-
struction costs during the period from the original estimate in April, 1976 and the
submission of the construction bid in November, 1977.
Mrs. Marty moved. seconded by Mr. Heisler, that the Resolution be passed as
presented . Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Gavin, Heisler, Marty, Swanson (4)
Nays: None (0)
On motion by Mrs. Marty and seconded by Mr. Heisler, the meeting of the Board
of Local Improvements was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
