October 17, 1977•
A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was
called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Monday,
October 17, 1977 at 8:05 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported that the
following were
Present: Bernard Forrest, President
D. Jeffrey Blumenthal
Cynthia J. Marty
Edwin B. Seidman
Vernon E. Swanson
Absent: Norma Gavin
Jerold L. Heisler
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were Messrs.
James Stucko, representing the Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager.
Adhering Resolution S/A 114 Mr. Seidman moved, seconded by Mrs. Marty, that the
Kates Road Improvements Resolution be passed adhering to the estimate and cost
of a local improvement consisting of the construction
of concrete pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer and otherwise improving Kates Road,
Special Assessment No. 114, as certified to by the President. Adopted by the following
vote:
Ayes: Blumenthal, Marty, Seidman, Swanson (4)
Nays: None (0)
Publish Proposed Ordinance The cost of Special Assessment No. 114 exceeding
& Estimate of Cost S/A 114 $200,000 and therefore publication of the ordinance
and estimate of cost being required, Mrs. Marty
moved, seconded by,Mr. Seidman, that the ordinance and estimate of cost of $364,726.70
be published in the Mail Advertiser.
Motion carried unanimously.
Mrs. Marty moved, seconded by Mr. Seidman, that the minutes of the meetings of the
Board of Local Improvements held October 3 and October 13, 1977 be approved as
submitted;,
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements,
on motion by Mrs. Marty and seconded by Mr. Seidman, the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
