A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was
called to order by the secretary, in the absence of the President, in the Council
Chambers of the Village Hall on Monday, October 3, 1977 at 8:00 p.m. The secretary
called the roll and reported that the following were
Present: D. Jeffrey Blumenthal
Norma Gavin
Jerold L. Heisler
Cynthia J. Marty
Edwin B. Seidman
Vernon E. Swanson
Absent: Bernard Forrest, President
and that a quorum was - present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were
Messrs. James Stucko, representing the Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager.
Mr. Swanson moved, seconded by Mrs. Marty, that Mr. Heisler be appointed
President pro tem. Motion carried unanimously.
Mrs. Marty moved, seconded by Mr. Swanson, that the minutes of the meeting of
the Board of Local Improvements held September 19, 1977 be approved as submitted.
Motion carried unanimously.
Originating Resolution Mrs. Marty moved, seconded by Mrs. Gavin, that
S/A 114 -Kates Rd. Improvement the Resolution be passed originating a local
Estimate of Cost improvement consisting of the construction of
Hearing 1013/77 at 8 P.M. concrete pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer
and otherwise improving Kates Road, approving
the estimate of cost for the improvement of$364,726.70, and resolving that a public
hearing shall be held on the question of making said improvement on October 13, 1977
at 8:00 p.m. in the Village Hall and notice of said hearing be sent to persons who
paid the general taxes for the last preceding year. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Blumenthal, Gavin, Heisler, Marty, Seidman, Swanson (6)
Nays: None (0)
The members of the Board of Local Improvements signed the Resolution.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements,
on motion by Mr. Seidman and seconded by Mrs. Marty, the meeting was adjourned at
8:05 p.m.
