10/19/1970October 19,1970 A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Monday, October 19, 1970 at 8:15 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported that the following were Present: Bernard Forrest, President Charles R. Bootz George P. Schleicher Stephen M. Slavin M. Jay Turner, Jr. Absent: George Kelm and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were Messrs. Richard Houpt, Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager. Ap2rove Eng. Est. #10 - S/A 108 Engineer's Estimate No. 10, Hovland Improvements, $55475.37 to Zera Const. Special-Assessment No. 108, in the amount of $55,475.37 to Zera Construction Company, was presented for consideration. Discussion was had on the work still to be completed. The manager assured that Board that sufficient funds, approximately $68,000,are held by the Village to insure completion. It was pointed out that the estimate did not include any payment for topsoil and seeding. Mr. Schleicher moved, seconded by Mr. Turner, that the estimate be approved and a voucher in payment thereof be authorized. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Boot, Schleicher, Slavin, Turner (4) Nays: None (0) There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements, on motion by Mr. Slavin, seconded by Mr. Turner, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m. Secretary APPROVED: J 1
