A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was
called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on
Monday, November 17, 1969 at 8:05 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported
that the following were
Present: Bernard Forrest, President
Jayman A. Avery, Jr.
Charles R. Bootz
George Kelm
George P. Schleicher
Stephen M. Slavin
Absent: M. Jay Turner, Jr.
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were
Messrs. Richard Houpt, Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager.
Moved by Mr. Bootz, seconded by Mr. Schleicher, that the minutes of the
meeting of the Board of Local Improvements held November 3, 1969 be approved as
submitted. Motion carried unanimously.
Report -S /A 107 The manager reported that he had talked with
Hovland Improvements the engineer regarding Hovland Special Assess-
ment No. 107, and the work has been essentially
completed, however, the engineer wishes to check on -repairs to private property
before final payment is approved. The Village attorney stated that some work which
should have been done by the Kennedy Company was done as extras by Zera Construction
Company, the contractor for Special Assessment No. 108, and therefore, adjustments
in ^payments must be made. A detailed report will be prepared for the next meeting.
Approve Voucher #6, S/A 106
Mr. Schleicher moved, seconded by Mr. Kelm,
Chas. Greengard Associates $385.75
that the issuance of Voucher No. 6 in the
Hertel Lane Improvements
amount of $385.75 be approved to Charles W,
Greengard Associates for inspection services in
connection with Special Assessment No.
106, Hertel Lane improvements. Adopted by the
following vote:
Ayes: Avery, Bootz, Kedni,n, Schleicher, Slavin (5)

Approve Voucher #7, S/A 106
Mr. Schleicher moved, seconded by Mr. Kelm, that
Novak, Dempsey Associates $145
the issuance of Voucher No. 7 in the amount of
Hertel Lane Improvements
$145.00 be approved to Novak, Dempsgy & Associates,
Inc., for,inspection services in connection with
Special Assessment No. 106, Hertel Lane improvements. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Avery, Bootz, Kelm, Schleicher,
Slavin (5)
Nays: None (0)
Approve Voucher #13, S/A 107
Mr. Kelm moved, seconded by Mr. Schleicher, that
Chas. Greengard Associates $285
the issuance of Voucher No. 13 in the amount of
Hovland - Improvements
$285.00 to Charles W. Greengard Associates for
inspection services in connection with Special
Assessment No. 107, Hovland improvments. Adopted by the following vote:

There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements,
on motion by Mr. Bootz, seconded by Mr. Schleicher, the meeting was adjourned at
