10/20/1969October 20, 1969 A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village-Hall on Monday, October 20, 1969 at 8:15 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported that the following were Present: Bernard Forrest, President Charles R. Bootz George Kelm George P. Schleicher Stephen M. Slavin M. Jay Turner, Jr. Absent: Jayman A. Avery, Jr. and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were Messrs. Richard Houpt, Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager. Mr. Slavin moved, seconded by Mr. Turner, that the minutes of the meeting held October 6, 1969 be approved as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Grant Extension for Completion The engineers report that considerable work of Hovland Improvements SJA 107 has been done by ,the:'coiitrhut6l� the' Gebtge:: 1GP_0Kdfid4dy11rCOnlpdi y tb dbtdplete Hovland Sub- division improvements, Special Assessment No. 107, and recommended that an ex- tension be granted until the next meeting. The cost of items still to be completed was estimated to be $5,000. The Village attorney had advised the Board that the contract with Kennedy could be terminated, funds withheld, and another contractor employed to complete the work. Mr. Bootz moved, seconded by Mr. Turner, that time for completion be extended to the next meeting as recommended by the engineers. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Bootz,'Kelm, Schleicher, Slavin, Turner (5) Nays: None (0) There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improve- ments, on motion by Mr. Schleicher, seconded by Mr. Turner, the meeting was adjourend at 8:20 p.m. Secretary APPROVED: 1
