02/03/1969February 3, 1969 A meeting of.the.Board of'Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Monday; February 3, 1969 at 8:20 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported that the following were Present: H. Ross Finney, President Charles R. Bootz Raymond L. Craig Bernard Forrest George Kelm Charles-H. Raff. George P. Schleicher Absent: None and that a quorum was present and in attendance.at the meeting. Aslo present were Messrs. Richard Houpt, Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager. Mr. Raff moved, seconded by Mr. Bootz, that minutes of the meeting held January 27, 1969 be approved as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Approve Est. #1- $12359.25 Mr. Craig moved, seconded by Mr. Forrest, DiPaolo Co..Hertel Ln. S/A 106 that Estimate No. 1 in the amount of $12,359.25 be approved for work completed by DiPaolo Company on Hertel Lane Improvements, Special Assessment No. 106. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Bootz, eraig, Forrest, Kelm, Raff, Schleicher (6) Nays: None (0) Authorize Voucher #4, S/A 106 Mr. Raff moved, seconded by Mr. Bootz, that $12359.25 - DiPaolo Co. the issuance and execution of Voucher No. 4 in the amount of $12,359.25 to DiPaolo Company be approved for work completed on Hertel Lane Improvements, Special Assessment No. 106. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Bootz, Craig, Forrest, Kelm, Raff, Schleicher (6) Nays: None (0) Mr. Schleicher pointed out that the decision of the Board of Local Improvements to convene a meeting of the Board of Local Improvements for the purpose of approving the minutes of a Board of Local Improvements meeting immediately preceding the next Board of Trustees meeting, would require another meeting of the Board of Local Improve- ments immediately preceding the next Board of Trustees meeting to approve the minutes approving the minutes, and so on ad infinitum. It was suggested that, since it was evident that Mr. Schleicher had been considering this matter for several weeks, the question be referred to the Village attorney to study for two weeks and report his findings to the Board. Mr. Bootz moved that the matter be referred to the Village attorney for a report in two weeks. Seconded by Mr. Schleicher, and adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Bootz, Craig, Forrest, Schleicher (4) Nays: Kelm, Raff .(2) r There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements, on motion by-Mr. Bootz, seconded-by Ni..
