The adjourned meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village
of Deerfield was.called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of
the Village Hall on Monday, September. 30, 1968 at-8:10 p.m. The secretary
called the roll and reported that the following were
Present: H. Ross Finney, President
Charles R. Bootz
Raymond L. Craig
George Kelm
George P. Schleicher
Absent: Bernard Forrest
Charles H. Raff
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Mr. Norris
Stilphen, manager, was also present.
Minutes of the adjourned meeting of the Board of Local Improvements
held September 23, 1968 were approved as submitted on motion by Mr. Craig,
seconded by Mr. Bootz, and carried unanimously.
A report from Charles W. Greengard Associates, engineers, stated that
bids for the. construction of Hovland improvements, Special Assessment No. 106,
had been checked and-tabulated, and recommended that the contract be awarded
to George W. Kennedy Construction Co., Antioch, the low bidder, in the amount
of $272.075.00.
Resolution Awarding Contract A resolution was presented and read in full
Geo. Kennedy Const. Co. awarding the.contract for construction of
S/A 107 - Publish Notice of improvements on certain streets in Hovland
Award Subdivision to George W. Kennedy Construc-
tion.Company at the price of $272,075.00.
and providing for publication of- Notice of the award of contract in the Deerfield
Review. Mr. Kelm moved, seconded by Mr. Bootz, that the Resolution be adopted.
Adopted by the fallowing vote:
Ayes: Bootz, Craig, Kelm, Schleicher (4)
Nays: None (0)
The President.and members.present signed.the. said Resolution.
There being no further.business . to . come.before the Board of Local Improve-
ments, on motion by Mr. Schleicher, seconded-by Mr. Bootz, the meeting was
adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
