A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield
was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall
on Monday, October 17, 1966 at 8 :20 p.m: -The secretary called the roll and
reported the following were
Present: H. Ross Finney, President
Raymond L. Craig
Charles H. Raff
George P. Schleicher
Ellis W. Smith
James M. Wetzel
Absent: Bernard Forrest
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present
were Messrs. Richard Houpt, Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager.
Discussion was had on the proposed improvement of Hertel Lane. The manager
reported that Mr. Jens Petersen desired the improvement whether construction be
paid for on a cash basis or by special assessments; Mrs.- Marie Petersen prefers
special assessments; and no answers have been received from either Wayne or Wallace
Petersen.
Mr. Raff moved, seconded by Mr. Craig, that the Board of Local Improvements
recommend to the Board of Trustees that an engineer be employed for the purpose of
making an engineering study for the improvement of Hertel Lane. 'Adopted by the
following vote:
Ayes: Craig, Raff, Schleicher, Smith, Wetzel (5)
Nays: None (0)
There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements,
on motion by Mr. Craig, seconded by Mr. Raff, the meeting was adjourned at 8 :25 p.m.
