09/09/1963September 9, 1963 A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Monday, September 9, 1963 at 8 :15 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported the following were Present: David C. Whitney, President It was the consensus of the Board that the manager go ahead on the preparation of necessary.--resolutions and related documents. There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements, the meeting was adjourned at 8 :25 p.m. . Secretary John A. S. Lindemann James E. Mandler Ellis W. Smith James M. Wetzel Absent: Ira K. Hearn, Jr. George P. Schleicher and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were Messrs. Byron Matthews, attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager. Appoint Myron Jacobson President Whitney appointed Mr. Myron Com.ofS /A #102, Cedar etc. Jacobson Commissioner of Special Assessments for the Cedar, Spruce, Jemlock Arbor Vitae, Pine special assessment improvement, No. 102. Mr. Mandler moved, seconded by Mr. Smith, that Mr. Jacbbson's appointment be confirmed. Motion carried unanimously. The manager reported that the Cedar Street bridge was not in good condition and steel bridge treads would be installed. He proposed that a new bridge be construction with County participation in the cost, as was done with the Wilmot Road bridge, in conjunction with the special assessment improvement. He said this could be done under Motor Fuel Tax rules if the population is not over 15,000. It was the consensus of the Board that the manager go ahead on the preparation of necessary.--resolutions and related documents.
