A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of
Deerfield was called to order in the Council Chambers of the Village
Hall on Monday,-February 18, 1963 at 8 :25 p.m. The secretary called
the roll and reported the following were
Present: Ira K. Hearn, Jr.
John A. S. Lindemann
Maurice C. Petesch
Winston S. Porter
Absent: David C. Whitney, President
John F. Aberson
James ,E. Mandler
and that.a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also
present were Messrs. Seymour Axelrood, attorney, and Norris Stilphen,
manager.
Mr—Petesch moved, seconded by Mr. Lindemann, that Mr. Porter
be appointed President pro tem. Motion carried unanimously.
The manager reported he had discussed the Rosewood - Birchwood
bill for engineering with Ciorba, Spies and Gustafson, and that the firm
was unwilling to submit a letter agreeing to payment for time and materials
only, on the. basis it might prejudice collection of the total amount for
engineering ,services if the additional improvements were to be constructed
at a later date. Mr. Hearn moved, seconded by Mr. Petesch, that the
Board authorize the inclusion of $3,279.74 in next year's budget for
payment of the full amount.
Motion carried unanimously.
The manager reported the resolutions for construction of sidewalks
in Woodland Park and improvements in the Hovland Subdivision by special
assessments would be ready for the next meeting.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Local
Improvements, the meeting was adjourned.
