November23, 1960
A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the
Village Hall on' ,.Wednesday, November 23, 1960 at 8 :00 P.M., pursuant to notice
thereof in accordance with Village ordinanves. The clerk called the roll and
reported the following were
Present: Joseph W. Koss, President
John F. Aberson
Harold L. Peterson
Arno D. Wehle
Absent: Maurice C. Petesch
Winston S. Porter
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Messrs. Byron
Matthews, Attorney, and Norris Stilphen, Manager, were also present.
Ordinance - Sale of $125,000 An ordinance was presented awarding sale of
Water Bonds (0- 60 -35) $125,000 Water Revenue Bonds, Series of 1960, to
A.C. Allyn and Company, Inc., and Scott Kegley,
Inc. at a net interest cost of 4.389%.
Trustee Wehle then moved,that the rules be waived so that the said
ordinance could be passed at its first reading. SEconded by Trustee Aberson.
On roll call the vote was as follows:
Ayes: Aberson, Peterson, Wehle, Koss (4)
Nays: None (0)
Trustee Wehle then moved that the ordinance awarding sale of $125,000
Water Revenue Bonds, Series of 1960, be passed. Seconded by Trustee Aberson.
On roll call the vote was:
Ayes: Aberson, Peterson, Wehle, Koss (4)
Nays: None (0)
The President thereupon dec.lar.'ed the ordinance paseed and signed the
original indicating his approval of the ordinance.
Refer Sara Lee Petition A petition was received from Kitchens of Sara Lee,
to Plan Commission Inc. requesting rezoning of the 32.5 acre tract
known as the Mercurio property. Moved by
Trustee 'Peterson, seconded by Trustee Aberson, that the request be referred to
the Plan Commission for a public hearing. Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, on motion by
Trustee Peterson, seconded by Trustee Aberson, the meeting was adjourned.
