the car. Trustee Petesch moved, seconded by Trustee Porter, that the bid of
Bernard Chevrolet be accepted, proviced a second car be accepted as a trade -in
to bring the net cost to not more than $1400. Upon roll call the following
vote was recorded:
Ayes: Curto, (Porter, Petesch (3)
Nays: Koss (1)
The motion failed for lack of a majority.
Receipt was acknowledged of a letter from Father O'Mara, Holy Cross
Church, regarding the request for a driveway from the Church parking lot to
Rosemary Terrace.
There being no further business, on motion by Trustee Curto, seconded
by Trustee Porter, the meeting was adjourned.

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield
was called to order by the clerk in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall
on Wednesday, August 10, 1960 at 8 :05 P.M. The clerk called the roll and
reported the following were

and that a quorum was present and in attendnace at the meeting. Also present
were Messts. Byron Matthews, Attorney, and Norris Stilphen, Village Manager.
Moved by Trustee Petesch, seconded by Trustee Porter, that Trustee
Curto be appointed President pro tem. Motion carried unanimously.

Municipal Building Tax that the rules be waived to permit the passage of

Building Bonds at the first presentation of the

By Minors (0- 60 -24) that an ordinance be adopted making it unlawful for

R0commnedations of the Plan Commission in connection with off - street parking
C�O and rezoning of four lots in Hovland Subdivision were received and tabled for

Deny Santi Rezoning The Plan Commission recommended denial of Mr. Raymond
MW- Lot 57, Goldman's Sub. Santi's petition to rezone the Northwest one half of
C Lot 57, Goldman's North Shore Golf Links Subdivision
from R -6 to B -2 Central Business District. Trustee Porter moved, seconded by
Trustee Petesch, that the Board concur in the recommendation of the Plan Commission
and the petition be denied.
Motion carried unanimously.
A 1 "etter was rece -ived from the State Sanitary Water Board, stating the
ban on sanitary sewer extensions would not be lifted due to the overloaded sewage
treatment plant. The'Manager reported that Mr. Baxter had prepared a reply to
this letter, giving the number of houses which would be connected if the ban
were lifted, and requesting some relief for sewer connections.
Ratify Action - Frost Trustee Peterson moved, seconded by Trustee Porter,
.Lot Purchase that the Board ratify actions taken in payments for
the Frost lot (Lot 7, Bleimehl's Subdivision) and
the change in the agreement with Deerfield Commons Shopping Center which provides
for completion of improvements on said lot by July 1, 1961. Adopted by the
following vote:

Kron- Harmony Bldrs. had been received from Mr. Bernard Kron, in settle-
ment of claims of the Village of Deerfield as follows:

Trustee Porter moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch, that the Village Manager be
authorized to write Mr. Kron releasing him from all claims of the Village of
Deerfield. Adopted by the following vote:

Ordinance - Amending Trustee Peterson moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch,
Wilmot Road S/A (0- 60 -25) that the rules be waived to permit the enactment of
an ordinance amending the ordinance for the improve-
ment of Wilmot Road by special assessment procedure by removing all reference to
sidewalks. Adopted by the following vote:
