A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of
the Village Hall on Wednesday, May 21, 1958 at 7:30 P.M., pursuant to notice of
said meeting delivered to each Trustee on May 17, 1958. The Clerk called the
roll and reported the following were
Present: G. Eldon Holmquist, President
Joseph W. Brown
Carl J. Jaeger
Told L. Peterson
A no D. Wehle
Absent: Joseph W. Koss
Maurice C. Petesch
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Mr. Royce
Owens, Village Manager, was also present.
The special meeting,was called for the purpose of enacting ordinances
eT relating to the sale of the North 75 feet of the former Antes property to
C-03 . West Deerfield Township.
A certified copy of-the ordinance passed by West Deerfield Township was
received, asking for the sale of the North 75 feet of the Village*Hall site to
the Township for Township purposes, including the construction of a building
for Library and Township offices.
Ordinance Setting Terms Trustee Brown moved; seconded by Trustee Peterson,
of Sale (0- 58 -24) that an ordinance be adopted setting forth the
terms of sale of property to the Township, including
the price of Twenty -seven Thousand Five Hbndred Dollars ($27,500.00) and agree
ments relating to parking, grading, retaining walls, set -back, and architectural
design. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Brown, Jaeger, Peterson, Wehle, Holmquist (5)
Nays: None (0) '
After a bried recess, the meeting was-re-convened by President Holmquist.
A certified copy of the ordinance passed-by IJest Deerfield Township was
recevied, agreeing to the terms of the ordinance enacted by the Village of
Deerfield setting forth the terms of the sale.
Ordinance Transferring

authorizing the President
property to the Township.
Trustee Jaeger moved, seconded by Trustee Brwon,
that an ordinance be adopted transferring title
to the North 75 feet of the Village Hall site to
?on receipt of the purchase price of $27,500.00, and
and Village Clerk to sign the Deed conveying said

Ayes: Brown, Jaeger, Peterson, Wehle, Holmquist (5)

There being no further busi.hess to -come before the meeting, on motion by
Trustee Brown, seconded by Trustee Jaeger, the meeting was adjourned.
