09/11/1957238 September 11, 1957 The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Wednesday, September 11, 1957 at 8:00 P.M. The Clerk called the roll and reported the following were Presents G. E. Holmquist, President Joseph W. Brown Carl J. Jaeger Joseph W. Koss Harold L. Peterson Maurice C. Petesch Arno D. Wehle Absent: None and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Ramsay Area Discussed Mr. Robert Ramsay, Ramsay Road, asked for a meeting with the Board of try to work out the problem of streets and easements in the area, stating that dedications cannot be secured from all property owners, and that some owners would take legal action if any deed restrictions were violated. He stated MASsrs. Heaney, Beth and Galente were being penalized by building permits being held up, and asked that the Board authorize the issuance of such permits. Trustee Koss stated the Board's proposal to waive certain requirements on the basis of hardship had not been answered. Mr. Ramsay asked that appraisals of property for street purposes be made immediately, since the property had been tied up fro more than two' years. President Holmquist stated the Board was trying to get appraisals at no cost to the Village, the estimated charge for an appraisal being $300, and that the Village, too, was anxious to proceed. Trustee Peterson moved, seconded by Trustee Koss, that the Board dispense with the reading of the minutes, and minutes of the regular meeting held August 12, and the adjourned meetings held August 19 and September 4, 1957, be approved as submitted. Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch, that the request be denied, and no variation from the terms of the Ordinance be permitted. There being no further business to come before the meeting, on motion by Trustee Peterson, seconded by Trustee Jaeger, and carried unani- mously, the meeting was adjouradd.
