09/04/1957235 September 4, 1957 The adjourned meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Wednesday, September 4, 1957 at 8:00 P.M. The.Clerk called the roll and reported the following were Absent: None and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Plan Commission Reports The report of the Plan Commission recommended High School Property Zoning R -4 One - family District classification for the former High School property. Trustee Koss moved, seconded b y Trustee Peterson, that the Board concur in the recommendation of the flan Commission, and the preparation of an ordinance establishing this zoning be authorized. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Brown, Jaeger, Koss, Peterson, Petesch, Wohle (6) Nays: None (0) Wa e -L le Petersen Zoning The Plan Commission recommended that the Giayne ecommeddation Petersen and Lyle Peterson properties, which were annexed to the Village, be zone R -1 Ono - family District. Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Peterson, that the Board concur in the recommendation of the Plan Commission, and an ordinance be prepared to establish this zoning. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Brown, Jaeger, Koss, Peterson, Petesch, Wehle (6) Nays: None k0) Lackner Zoning Recommendation The plan Commission recommended that the Lackner property which was annexed to-the Village be zoned R -1 a deptl of 500 feet West of Wilmot Load, the remainder of the property R-1 -A. Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch, that the Board concur in the recommendation of the Plan Commission, and an ordinance be prepared to establish this zoning. Adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Brown, Jaeger, Koss, Peterson, Petesch, Wehle (6) Nays: None (0) Deerfield Park Addition Sign The Board of Zoning Appeals recommended that Authorized the Board grant rermission to the Chicago Construction Co;Trany to erect a sign on Lot 69, Deerfield Park Addition. Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Peterson, that the Board authorize the issuance of a permit for the erection. of the said sign. Carried unanimously. Receive Water Committee The report of the ?dater Committee was received Report and filed. President Holmquist stated an excellent job rad been done by the Committee. Messrs. Ken Weir, William Hinchsliff, and Raymond Meyer, and that Mr. W,�ir had nEreed to give further help to the Board b.* sitting in on meetings with Highland Park. Sewer R "p it Work Trustee Brown reported he had conferred with Public Works Foreman William Sullivan, and that as much time as possible would be spent on sewer re;-air work before the fall ruins. Offer Tank to Village Mr. Joseph Schuessler stated thn Legion would present a World War II'tank to be placed on the front yard of tee Village Hall at no cost to the Village. President Holmquist thanked the Legion, and stated the Board �-,ould give consideration to ti:e gift. There being no further business, the meeting vas adjourned.
