The adjourned meeting of the P nt and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfifled was called to orde he President in the Council Chambers of
the Village Hall on Monday, Apr', ;;1957 at 8:00 P.M. The Clerk called the
roll and reported the following(
Present: John D. Schneider, President
Joseph W. Brown
Martha White Clark
Hubert N. Kelley
Raymond T. Meyer
Maurice C. Petesch
Absent: Carl J. Jaeger
and that a Quorum was`,present and in attendance at the meeting.
Receive Lackner Annexation T petition for annexation was received from
Petition John E.'And Evelyn Lackner. Trustee Clark
moved, seconded by Trustee Brown, that the
said petition be received and filed, and an ordinance be prepared to effectuate
such annexation. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Brown, Clark, Kelley, Meyer, Petesch (5)
Nays: None (0)
Trustee Jaeger entered the meeting and was present thereafter.
Ordinance - Friedman Annexation An ordinance was presented annexing the
(0-18-57) following described territory to the Village
of Deerfield:
The East 51 rods of the S.E. 1/4 of the S. E. 1/4 of Section 30,
Township 43 North, Range 12, East of the 3rd Principal Meridiaim,
(except the East 448.0 feet thereof). Also the S. 1/2 of the
N. E. 1/4 (except the East 10 acres thereof) of Section 30, Town-
ship 43 North, Range 12, East of the 3rd Principal Meridian, in
Lake County, Illinois.
Trustee Clark moved, seconded by Trustee Kelley, that the ordinance be adopted.
Upon roll call, the following vote was recorded:
Ayes: Brown, Clark, Kelley, Mek &r ;,Petesch." !(5)'.
Nays: None (0)
Pass: Jaeger (1)
Ordinance - Friedman Subdivision The Plan Commission recommended that the
Zoning Amendment newly annexed Friedman Subdivision be zoned
(0-19-57) R-11 R-1 -A, and R-2 One Family Districts.
trustee Clark moved, seconded by Trustee
Jaeger, that an ordinance be adopted amending the Zoning Ordinance by placing
the Friiedman property in the R-1, R-1 -A, and R-2 residence districts, as
recommended by the Plan Commission. Adopted by the following vote:.
Ayes: Brown, Clark, Jaeger, Kelley, Meyer, Petesch (6)
Nays: None (0)
Award Contract North Ave.
W ter Main - J. H. Rhodes
& Sons. Zion - 55,985.40
for the construction of the
bidder, J. H. Rhodes & Sons,
Trustee Meyer read the report of Baxter
and Woodman regarding bidders on the North
Avenue water maim. Trustee Meyer moved,
seconded by Trustee Clark, that the contract
North Avenue water main be awarded to the low
Zion, Illinois, at their bid price of $55,985.40.
