WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, Illinois is a municipality exercising Home Rule
Powers pursuant to the Constitution of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield have directed the Plan
Commission of the Village of Deerfield to conduct a review of those portions of the Zoning
Ordinance and the Subdivision Code of the Village of Deerfield which deal with the subdivision or
resubdivision of properties located within the corporate limits of the Village of Deerfield legally
described and depicted in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof (the "Subject Area ");
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of Deerfield that no applications for
subdivision or resubdivision within the Subject Area be accepted pending the review of the Plan
Commission's recommendations by the Corporate Authorities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That a moratorium be declared on the acceptance of applications for
ONE: subdivision or resubdivision within the Subject Area pending action by the
Corporate Authorities on the above - described Plan Commission
recommendation.
SECTION That said moratorium shall remain in full force and effect until rescinded by
TWO: action of the Corporate Authorities and, in any event, shall terminate on
August 30, 1998, 180 days from the date hereof unless extended by action of
the Corporate Authorities.
