R-97-17RESOLUTION NO. R -97 -17 WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, is a municipality exercising Home Rule Powers pursuant to the Constitution of the State of Illinois; and WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield have directed the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield to conduct a review of those portions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield which deal with the location, regulation and granting of a Special Use to allow the installation or construction of telecommunications facilities within the corporate limits of the Village of Deerfield; and WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have directed the Cable and Telecommunications Commission of the Village of Deerfield to assist the Plan Commission in its consideration of revisions to such regulations; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of Deerfield that no applications for Special Use for telecommunications facilities be accepted pending the review of the Plan Commission's recommendations by the Corporate Authorities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That a moratorium be declared on the acceptance of applications ONE: for a Special Use to install or construct telecommunications facilities within the corporate limits of the Village of Deerfield pending action by the Corporate Authorities on the above described Plan Commission recommendation. SECTION That said moratorium shall remain in full force and effect until TWO: rescinded by action of the Corporate Authorities and, in any event, shall terminate on April 21, 1998 (180) days from the date hereof unless extended by action of the Corporate Authorities.
