WHEREAS, the Chicago Bulls have been practicing in Deerfield for many
years; and
WHEREAS, they became a permanent resident of our community with the
dedication of the Berto Center in September, 1992; and
WHEREAS, they say "practice makes perfect ", and with five championship
titles in seven years, Deerfield obviously is the "perfect place" to practice; and
WHEREAS, The Bulls practice almost every day in Deerfield and, only
occasionally, travel to Chicago to prove they are NBA Champs, and
WHEREAS, there have been inquiries from the Bears, Blackhawks, Sox and
Cubs to find space in Deerfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD:
SECTION The Village of Deerfield congratulates the entire Bulls
ONE organization on its second consecutive NBA Championship and
its fifth title in seven years.
SECTION Tuesday, June 17th is hereby proclaimed "DEERFIELD BULLS
TWO DAY" and the official beginning date for "Another Trophy.
Would Be Great in '98."
